We, at OCS have made conscious investments to develop skills in Microsoft technologies for developing Business Intelligence Technology and Applications. We put to use the following components based on client requirements.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 BI Platform
- SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAS): Developing the OLAP database engines and business process dimensional models. Develop statistical modeling and data mining to enable clustering, decision trees and predictions.
- SQL Server 2005 Integration Services (SSIS): Developing a large part of the ETL process in order to clean, transform, combine, de-duplicate, household, archive, confirm and structure the data for use in a Data Warehouse.
- SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS): Developing BI applications that can query, analyze and present information to support business needs. Use report builder to perform Adhoc Query based on extensive use of EXCEL Pivot tables.
Microsoft Performance Management Applications
Develop integrated performance management applications using end user tools such as Share Point Server 2007 and Excel 2007 to capture and populate data for performance measurement. The Performance Point Server 2007 along with the Balance Score Card Manager is put to use to develop the following functionality for BI products.
- Develop a common data model and program business rules, logic calculations and workflow
- Create corporate as well as department level performance models. Build synchronization up and down as well as across departments
- Through a centralized control and workflow develop a single integrated environment
- Developing server side business rules and real time calculations
- Using the business driven and functionality rich Performance Point approach to develop the following modules, as a part of a product OR as a customized application for an end user
